My style of therapy

Prioritizing my client’s individual needs, I utilize a combination of methods matched to each individual person or couple I work with. Our sessions are grounded with compassion, flexibility, and a deep sense of trust while working together. I often combine these methods with creative thinking and visualizing tools with a focus on helping you build insight, find relief, and create lasting positive change.

To the right, there's a small potted succulent plant. The background includes a green floral curtain and beige wall with cream-colored macrame wall hangings.

A little more about me…

I was born and raised in Montana. Throughout my life, I have experienced multiple transitions, I have lived in 8 different states and have 2 beautiful daughters. While living in Minnesota, I endured a very difficult and unexpected 2.5-year divorce process that changed my entire world. During that time, I was given the opportunity to go to college and even though I began with teaching, I quickly fell in love with psychology and counseling. I earned my bachelor's degree and jumped straight into my masters of counseling. After graduating in 2019, I was diagnosed with ADHD, traits of ASD, learning disabilities (including dyslexia), and anxiety. My life finally made so much sense! I dove headfirst into educating myself in not only those areas, but also common struggles with perimenopause, long covid, and blended families. I have worked with four different group practices across Minnesota and Montana while acquiring my licensure hours and opened my own private practice in 2022. Throughout my journey I have gained deep personal insight into what it means to endure stressful transitions while feeling different, overwhelmed, or stuck and how powerful therapy can be in not just surviving, but understanding and embracing who you are. My love of psychology, counseling and personal life experience has led me down the path to focus my work intently with ADHD, anxiety, couples/relationships, life transitions, perimenopause, and parenting.

Outside of counseling, I have an amazing husband, and together we have a blended family of 6 adult children. We are officially empty-nesters with our two fur babies (Diesel and Cheddy) who you may meet in teletherapy. We are currently navigating the "sandwich" season of life, balancing care for aging parents and staying closely connected with our kids and extended family. My hobbies include cooking from scratch, baking (yes sourdough), gardening, glamping in the summer, reading, watching a great show or hanging out with the people that I love.

Meet Diesel & Cheddy

Diesel my primary office kitty and resident emotional support feline. If you like cats, you’ll definitely see him in sessions. :)

Cheddy is my secondary office kitty and a bit more shy. You may hear her purring before you actually see her in sessions :)

A playful orange and white cat lying on its back, with paws on orange pet food containers. The cat's head is tilted, eyes wide open, and it is near a tunnel toy, with a patterned blanket nearby and a blurred background.

“My focus is building our relationship and providing you with guidance, skills and tools to better manage this chaotic life. Let me be a comfort and trusted resource for you.
